MG 1/100 Gundam Fenice Rinascita

This is the Master Grade 1/100 Gundam Fenice Rinascita. Got this at my local GameStop, and in total, it took me seven hours to build. Seven hours straight, I mean. Eight if you count the time it took to build the gun, shield, and base. The Gundam itself took seven hours, and the weapons, accessories, and base took another hour. So the whole project took me eight straight hours.
Anyway, as far as I know (feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken), this kit is a customized variation of the Wing Gundam. Some parts have been swapped out, some have been modified (like the wings), and some new parts have been added on. It's absolutely beautiful, though! I'm part Italian, so I love that this kit makes use of the colors of the Italian flag. Another cool thing about this kit is that it actually comes with an action stand, so you don't have to go out and buy a separate one for it. Also, it can transform into a flight form, just like the Wing Gundam. The transformation is a bit of a pain in the butt, but it looks great! The articulation on this kit is really great too, although the fingers on the hands aren't articulated. The thumb is on a balljoint, so it moves a bit, but the rest of the fingers don't move. The hands have different attachments that you swap out to hand them hold the weapons and shield. It's not a deal breaker in my opinion, but it can be difficult swapping them out.
All in all, this really is a beautiful kit, and I really do recommend it. I originally wasn't going to buy this one, but when I saw it at GameStop, it just called to me (not literally XD), so I went ahead and got it. I'm really glad that I did, because I really like this kit. If you guys are thinking about getting it, I say give it a chance, because it's a great kit! 😊
