My Bio

My name's Kevin^_^. I'm currently 33 years old, and my favorite colors are pink, red, blue, and black. I absolutely love making new OCs and writing stories, as well as taking photos of things that I like. Cards, figures, things I see outside, etc. The greater majority of my artwork I do is done using MS Paint, but I do like to draw with pens and pencils too^_^.

I tend to be a bit shy sometimes, but otherwise I'm pretty nice with an oddball sense of humor. It always makes me really happy when I hear people appreciate my my work, but I think all writers and artists feel that way^_^. I have a strong sense or honor, and I stand by what I believe in. I'm also extremely loyal to my friends and family, and I'm never afraid to stand up for them and what I believe in.

Despite my shyness, I'm always happy to talk with my friends, watchers, and watched artists/writers here on DeviantArt, and always happy to make new friends^_^.

Of all the OCs I've made, the two I'm most attached to are my OCs Kelly Seastar and Tina Langford. I'm one of those artists/writers who attached to their characters in general XD.

All in all I'm a pretty nice person who stands by his friends, family, and beliefs, takes pride in their work, and isn't afraid to speak their mind. I hope all of you who view my page enjoy my work, and please feel free to ask me any questions you may have^_^. Also, feel free to add me on facebook if you like. Just make sure you let me know that your DA username so I know who you are, okay?

I recently started collecting the NECA Predator figures. Would anyone be interested in me posting those when I get new ones? I currently have four right now, but I’m looking at adding a fifth to the collection next month. With each picture, I would include a bit of background information on that particular Yautja, as well as a bit of a review.

Writing Slump

1 min read
Not gonna lie, as much as I love doing Gunpla photography and reviews, I definitely miss writing. I wrote a story a few years ago called New Beginning, and I’ve had so many ideas for a story that continues it, but I just haven’t been able to come up with anything concrete. I honestly didn’t even know that there was a word for what’s been going on with me until just today: Slump. I’ve been in this slump for a few years now, and it kind of worries me. It kind of makes me feel bad for my characters, too (that’s OCD, though). I haven’t given up on it, I’m just not sure what to do. Part of me wonders if I should try some shorter skits or shorter stories with the characters that are less plot driven and more like everyday stuff that goes on with them. You know, to help shake off the rust.

Hey guys! :) Good news: I’m not dead. 😆 Nah, a lot has just been going on at home the past few months that’s made it hard to find the energy to do Gunpla photography. I have an Instagram that I post pictures of a lot of the Gunpla I finish (strummfan217 for those want to check out those batches), and with each one, I post a batch of 7 to 10 pictures there to show the kit off in various poses. The whole process of setting up the light box, posing the kit, and swapping out accessories just takes a lot of time and energy, and that’s part of why I haven’t posted much lately. I’m trying to get back on track, but life seems to keep throwing monkey wrenches in my way. It started back in October. My one year old nephew got Covid (but powered through it and made a full recovery because he’s that awesome 😄). That was the beginning of a long cycle. From there, my sister got it, then her husband (my brother in law) got it, then my mom got it, then my other sister got it. Me and my stepdad were the only ones who seemed to dodge it. But yeah, a lot of family sick at their homes, and a lot of helping where I could. Then, just when it seemed like we got through that, my grandfather was hospitalized after having a stroke. He’s been doing somewhat okay, but I suspect we might lose him this year. Theeen I find out my aunt has been diagnosed with some kind of lung condition, and only has five or six years left… So yeah, needless to say, it’s been a hellacious few months. I want you guys to know that I’m always thinking of you guys, and I cannot thank you all enough for constantly being so patient with how long it takes me to post stuff. You guys are awesome, and I hope you guys have been doing well. :)

Your model work here is very nice! And thanks again for the compliments on my "Gay Purr-ee" art cards.

P.S. Was your uncle by chance Corny Cole?

That was him, yes! :) He would have loved your work! 🙂

Thanks for confirming that! Your uncle was one of the great talents at Warner Brothers. Really cool that you had the chance to hear his stories about working on "Gay Purr-ee." That movie has been a favorite of mine since childhood.

Thanks for the fave

Thanks so much for the support on subscriptions. Hope you enjoy the early look at my stories and supporting my ideas and collabs. ^_^

Thank you dear friend for the fave(s) I appreciate it greatly!:aww: Sorry for the late reply, I've been super busy lately

Let's see what this will do!

Hope you're safe. I hope you are also aware of a hurricane coming towards California.
